We planted our first vines in 2020 with belief, determination and a love for the Lincolnshire countryside.
What began as carefully marked rows in open land quickly became early mornings in muddy boots, long evenings watching the weather, and a shared dream growing stronger with every season.
Marie and Chris took the leap to plant the vineyard, but it has always been a true family effort.
Liz, our Vineyard Manager, is the heart of the vines. She knows every row, every block, every subtle change in leaf and fruit. Through frost alerts, pruning seasons, and harvest days, she cares for the vineyard with patience and pride, ensuring each vintage reflects the land at its very best.
As a family-run English vineyard, we are hands-on in everything we do. From walking the vines to choosing our wine names and approving every label, we stay close to the process. There are no shortcuts here; just hard work, resilience and a genuine love for what we’re building.
We have a carefully curated selection of grape varieties - Muscaris, Phoenix, Rondo, Pinot Noir.
We refrain from using chemicals or additives wherever possible. We harvest our grapes by hand, with the help of dedicated family and friends from the local area.
Our wine names are inspired by the wildlife that shares this land with us - the squirrels, deer, owls and foxes that are part of daily life here. They reflect our countryside setting, our sense of humour, and the joy we find in creating wines that bring people together.
When you open a bottle of Wressle Vineyard wine, you’re not just tasting grapes grown in North Lincolnshire.
You’re tasting family, commitment and a dream planted in 2020 that continues to grow with every vintage.
Wines made the slow way. Worth every season.
Hand-harvested from our family vineyard.
