Beautiful, elegant – and rather expensive guests.

Roe deer are among the most majestic visitors to the vineyard, quietly appearing from the surrounding countryside to wander between the vines.

They’re very dear to us, although our grapes appear to be rather dear to them too. Given the opportunity, they’ll happily help themselves, which means protecting the vines is all part of vineyard life.

And when grapes aren't on the menu? The tulips in the garden seem to make a perfectly acceptable alternative.

Dear Roe Deer is our tribute to these elegant visitors - graceful, gentle and just mischievous enough to keep us on our toes.
